Janet Ann Collins has been a freelance feature writer for a newspaper in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a nostalgia columnist for the Antique Explorer, and her work has appeared in many other publications. She's the author of Signs of Trouble, The Peril of the Sinister Scientist and Secret Service Saint, published by GAP.
Collins is a retired teacher of preschool and Kindergarten classes and spent several years as a substitute teacher in all grades. She also worked as an instructional counselor at California School for the Deaf for many years. With her husband she raised three deaf foster sons with special needs in addition to a birth daughter, and they are now grandparents.
